Command reference

One page per command James supports, in alphabetical order in the sidebar. Each page has the same shape: the command’s syntax as James reads it, what it does, when James applies it, the rules James adds where the command leaves a choice, the diagnostics it can raise, and one example script that the test suite runs. A command that James does not support has no page here; the compatibility chapter lists every such command and what James says when it meets one.
