control

control ends the open part, as endpart does, and says that the script has returned to the Control phase.

Syntax

control

The command takes no argument.

What it does

control closes and meshes the part exactly as endpart does, and the session is in the Control phase afterwards. Use it where the script reads better with the phase named, for example before the surfaces and curves that the next part will use.

When James applies it

When it is read. control is legal only in the Part phase. There is no way back to the Control phase from the Merge phase: from Merge the only move is a new part.

Rules James adds

  • In the Merge phase control is refused, like endpart.

Diagnostics

  • E0411: no part is open.

Example

The script tests/corpus/167-control-then-second-part/input.tg, which make test runs:

c control closes part 1; sd is read in Control; part 2 shares a face with part 1.
block 1 3;1 3;1 3;0 1;0 1;0 1;
control
sd 1 plan 1 0 0 1 0 0
block 1 3;1 3;1 3;1 2;0 1;0 1;
endpart

control ends part 1. The sd that follows is read in the Control phase and defines surface 1, a plane through (1, 0, 0). The second block opens part 2, which begins at x = 1 where part 1 ends. The IR holds the surface and both parts.
